The Penguin Who Couldn't Swim
Over the summer of 2018 I got to work on this short film by Tom Rourke, commissioned and funded by the BBC and premiered at the BFI Southbank as part of their joint Animation programme.
Tom and I, along with our friend Andy, formed our own collective and did a lot of projects together after graduation. Nowadays, we’re all working individually, across three different countries, so it was great to have this opportunity to do something together with Tom again. It’s been a few years. It being his own creation made it even more rewarding. The film also looks really beautiful too and it’s since gone on to be shown at many film festivals. Here’s a clip:
