World Toilet Day
World Toilet Day is on the 19th of November every year, to highlight the fact that billions of people still live without easy access to proper toilets. To find out more about this year's campaign, have a look at the website: http://www.wheredoesourpoogo.org
This is a brand new sleek and modern public toilet that recently arrived in Plaza Manuel Becerra, near where I live. It's good to see these arriving, because I haven't noticed too many around in Madrid. With the city being so full of bars and cafés, the usual response if you're caught short is to pop into a bar and order a coffee or a bottle of water and use their facilities. (In fact, the majority of places have signs up saying "Toilets are for the use of customers only", presumably because they get a lot of people who just want a toilet) So having more public toilets available is obviously a better solution.
