CASE STUDY: HOJIBLANCA

Etiqueta que dice 'Maestros de Hojiblanca. Aceite de oliva virgen extra' colgada en una rama de olivo con frutos verdes y morados, en un olivar al aire libre.
  • Olive oil company Hojiblanca were seeking a way to distinguish their VIP event, located in the beautiful countryside surrounding Córdoba.

I was asked to sketch the event from start to finish, to subsequently design and layout a booklet of these sketches for printing, and to create personalised illustrations/portratis for the guests in the moment.

  • Over the course of 2 days I chronicled the atmosphere and experiences of the attendees in the world of Hojiblanca: learning how to harvest their own olives, press them into oil, and discovering the range of flavour in a special “catas” or tasting session.
At the end of each day there was a session drawing custom labels with bespoke illustrations and portraits for each attendee’s complementary magnum bottle of olive oil.

  • The presence of a live sketch artist reinforced the nature of the VIP event, delighting guests with the artworks unfolding before their eyes. Each guest was then able to take the art home with them in the form of a beautifully printed presentation booklet, as well as their own personally drawn and dedicated label on their bottle of extra virgin olive oil, keeping the focus on Hojiblanca’s product whilst underlining the company’s core values of connection, exchange and individual attention.
